Avatar: baby, you're my forevergirl

Because I love analyzing shipping (when it doesn't turn snippy): The funny thing is I was pretty big on Zutara back in the day but the older I get the more I appreciate Katara and Aang's relationship. They're just so good for each other, and what I really liked about Zutara before was really just that they were enemies who had to learn to forgive each other (and of course the color/element contrast was gorgeous). Personality-wise Zuko and Katara are not as different as you'd expect; they're both sometimes a little too serious about everything. Aang is really the kind of guy Katara needs, I feel, because he's lighthearted and fun and spirited. Katara is someone who tends to worry too much and feels the need to take care of everyone all the time, so I feel like she's best balanced by someone who sees the bright side of things the way Aang does.
