 Tamora Pierce is the author of a wide range of Magical-Based medieval-type books.
Some of her books include the "Song of the Lioness" Quartet [ which includes: The First Adventure, In the Hand of the Goddess, The Woman Who Rides Like a Man, and Lioness Rampant], "The Immortals" Quartet [Which Includes: Wild Magic, Wolf Speaker, Emperor Mage, and The Realm of the Gods], "The Protector of the Small" Quartet [Which Inclues: First Test, Page, Squire, and Lady Knight], "The Trickster's" series [Inclues: Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen], and the "Beka Cooper" series [Which Includes: Terrier, Bloodhound, and Mastiff]. [ These 5 series all have a small link, and best read in this order ^^. ] Hope that helps!  I am seriously considering writing to Tamora Pierce and begging her to ask you to turn Protector of the Small (or any of her books/series, really) into a graphic novel. No, really. Would you be okay with it if I were to do so, or are you too busy at the moment?
 this has actually been a dream of mine for a while but I still don't think I have enough experience (plus I think I should probably ask her myself if an adaptation would be possible)
